Overview

T.S Misra College of Paramedical Sciences was established in 2017 to encourage and inculcate quality-based paramedical education and to re-instate the significance of these courses in the health sciences, seeing the increasing need for skilled paramedics in the medical field.

It is important to mention that without paramedics, the medical field would be crippled. Our college offers a unique combination of technical excellence, opportunities and experience to the students to mound them into highly skilled professionals.

Bachelor Courses

Duration: 4 Years + 6 months compulsory Internship

About: Physiotherapy is an autonomous health profession that is primarily directed towards the prevention or alleviation of movement dysfunction in people. It is concerned with the remediation of impairment, and promotion of mobility and functional ability. Physiotherapy involves assessing, treating and preventing (human and animal movement disorders), restoring normal function and minimizing dysfunction and pain in adults and children with physical impairment. Physiotherapy enables them to achieve the highest possible level of independence in their lives; preventing recurring injuries and disability in the workplace, at home or during recreational activities; and promotes community health for all age groups. Physiotherapists use skilled evaluation, skilled hands on therapy (such as mobilization, manipulation, massage), individually designed exercise programs, relaxation techniques, sophisticated equipment, hydrotherapy and biofeedback and specialized electrotherapy equipment (heat, ice and traction) to relieve pain and assist in healing and recovery (with the use of suitable walking aids, splints and appliances) and also through patient education.

About: Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), also known as Clinical Laboratory Science is an advanced branch of science which helps with the analysis, cure & prevention of diseases through various laboratory tests. Candidates (after their successful completion of Bachelor of science (B.Sc.) course in MLT) have vast opportunities both in terms of higher study options and also in pursuing it as a profession. Medical Laboratory Technologist or technicians are allied healthcare professionals. Their main task is diagnosis of disease in patients referred to them by Doctors. Medical technologists are an integral part of the medical profession. These professionals are involved in the practical and technical work for proper diagnosis and effective functioning of biochemical laboratories. The course trains students in aspects. such as learning about various diseases, their detection and diagnosis. Techniques such as operating electronic and electrical lab equipment, patient record keeping and progress monitoring are also taught in this courses.

About: DPT course deals with improving patients' disabilities and injuries through the use of physical therapy. The average placement package offered to DPT holders usually ranges between INR 2 to 5 lacs per annum.

About: Dialysis is the artificial purification process of blood. Using dialysis process, it is possible to remove waste, excess of water and other unwanted fluid from the blood of patients. A Dialysis technician's main task is to operate the Hemodialysis machine used to perform dialysis for patients suffering from kidney failure and carry out pre, intra and post dialysis procedures.

About Emergency & Trauma Care Techniques provides immediate care to the injured and efficient first aid care in accidental cases. These technicians have knowledge of disease processes, bedside procedures and technical skills to handle critical/ emergency/traumatic cases. They can work as paramedics, emergency nurses, prehospital care providers, nurse practitioners, general practice nurses & allied health practitioners including occupational therapists and physiotherapists who care for trauma patients. Career Opportunities exist in various nursing homes, hospitals in Pvt./ Govt./ Semi Govt./Public Sector as I.C.U Technician.
