School of Nursing

Students Labs at the School of Nursing include Pre-Clinical Lab (Anatomy, Physiology & Microbiology), Nursing Foundation Lab, Nutrition Lab, OBG & Pediatric Lab, Community Lab, Advanced Nursing Lab, Computer Lab & A. V. Aids Labs to facilitate easy learning and provides demonstrations for the student’s clinical practices.

Nursing Foundation Lab

A 1500sq feet lab with mannequins and other equipment that helps to teach students about the hospital settings and patient care

COMMUNITY LAB

The community lab helps to practice home care for patients living in the community and gives opportunities for simulation and Role playing before actually practicing in the community area.

Nutrition Lab

Nutrition plays a very important part for patient recovery and healing. In the nutrition lab, students learn to prepare special meals for patients, catering to their specific dietary requirements. Various diets for diabetic patients, heart patients, mothers, children etc. that are calorie and nutrient based are taught here. They also study the importance of nutrients and their effects on the body.

Preclinical lab

Preclinical lab consists of Models of bones, Structures, organs and Procedures that are mandatory for the students to learn and practice before they are posted for clinical duties.

Computer lab

Wi-Fi enabled campus with a dedicated computer lab helps to support student learning to use computers for Patient Administration, Electronic Medical Records, and Inter office communication and in various other applications. Students may also use the computer lab for their research and project work.

OBG & PEADIATRICS LAB

The Obstretics and Pediatrics lab includes a setting of the hospital labour room and delivery scenario with advanced models so that students may learn child birth and related procedures, and how to give maternal and neonatal care. It is equipped with birthing simulators, Obstetric manikins, Pelvis, Foetal skull, specimens, obstetrical instruments, 3D models and charts. This helps the undergraduates and post graduate students to acquire knowledge and skills in rendering nursing care to normal and high risk women during antenatal, intranatal and postnatal periods in hospital and community settings.
